The inaugural Global Citizens Innovative Solutions SDGs Challenge in 2020 invited any and all to come together in teams to brainstorm ideas, formulate plans, and craft presentations of viable, lofty, and positive opportunities to help solve problems afflicting billions as well as ease demands taxing our planet. WHAT?

A free and worthwhile contest that invites and challenges humans from all walks of life to come together (virtually, at the moment) to arrive at imaginative and viable solutions to the 17 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG/s)

This year the Challenge changes it's normal "rolling" Challenge' from 100 days April 22 to July 31 to 90 days (get in and out as you like stays the same!) Sept. 1 - Nov. 30.

The Challenge encourages a problem solving advantage of teamwork, diversity, passion for good, and concentrated effort!

Certificates will be awarded to ALL participants who submit a team solution. Special designation is given to Semi Finalists and Finalists and perks to 17 Winners including entry to The SDG Percolator!

Physically & VIRTUALLY, any where! Teams can decide to meet at physical locations or decide to collaborate online via video or chat.

The Challenge culminates in 5 minute video presentations by all teams who will then be evaluated by our team and up to 150 Semi Finalists will be enrolled in a public worldwide voting round.

35 Finalists will emerge. The global Jury subject matter experts (by SDG focus areas) will then take over and 17 Winners will emerge.

The Judging rubric is available at onset and more detailed information will be provided to Registered teams by Nov. 30.

Official registration is now open!

In 2024 the Challenge officially runs 90 days Sept. 1 to Nov. 30 (and unofficially, every day, forever!)

Each Challenge team works on their solutions for as short or long as it takes them within the 90 days.

Following the Nov. 30 deadline, a select number of teams will be shortlisted and advance to the public voting round online which will be open for one week.

Semi-Finalist Teams will emerge. Solutions will be nurtured and from Dec. 15th Global juries will then select 17 Winners who will be announced Dec. 31.

Winners may also be introduced to VIPs and invited to special global SDGs events!

The world debut of the Global SDGs Challenge six years ago was long overdue. Now in the NINTH year of the SDGs (2016-2030), the clock is ticking and Covid19 only slowed our progress. We're behind and world needs even greater ACTION on SDGs if goals are to be met.

Collaboration and tangible solutions are imperative!

The Challenge is a great way to become an engaged global citizen and learn hands-on about SDGs Together aligned to solve the world's most nagging issues, we are united.

Certificates will be awarded to each team member who submits a solution. Semi-Finalists, Finalists, and Winners will be presented special designation, perks, and prizes (TBD).

Free & Easy! Bring forth your own team-- convince your family or friends! Or, you can opt to join another team of a similar SDG interest area. Join us!

Teams will decide which SDG and SDG subtopic (indicator) to focus on solving, when, where to meet, how to approach brainstorming sessions, division of work, and the format by which to convey the big ideas for the solution to be videoed (i.e. powerpoint, speech, skit, or ?!) and how to divvy up roles in presentation/briefing to public.

Workshops, Mentors, Minders, and Muses will be available to jump-start or provide enhanced support.

Winning teams are eligible for The SDG Percolator and solutions polishing; those with viable models may be matched with global incubators and funding sources.
